Swansea Violence Against Women, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence Strategy.

This is a Partnership Strategy to outline our collective partnership aspirations for addressing Violence against Women, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence (VAWDASV) in Swansea. This Strategy applies to all citizens in Swansea and we recognise that Swansea has a diverse population with citizens of different backgrounds and demographics. We want our services to be accessible to all that need them and will endeavour to deliver services that fulfil these needs. This Strategy recognises that Violence against Women, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence is a complex and multi-faceted issue and cannot be tackled by one agency alone. Therefore, a multi-agency partnership approach is the best way to address any needs to ensure the right support at the right time.

This Strategy aligns itself with The Welsh Government VAWDASV Strategy and the VAWDASV (Wales) Act 2015 to ensure parity of services across Wales. The Strategy sits alongside the Swansea VAWDASV Partnership Framework and Terms of Reference to ensure a robust mechanism for roll-out and monitoring.
