Minutes: The Panel received a draft final report containing the
Inquiry Panel findings, conclusions and recommendations for approval. The draft final report had been circulated to all who had
given evidence to the Inquiry Panel and Panel Members were provided with
comments received. The Panel Convener invited feedback / comments on the
contents of the draft final report. Taking into account comments on the draft report the Panel
was satisfied that the report was a good reflection of the evidence gathered
and no further amendments were considered necessary. The Convener thanked Panel Member and everyone who had
participated in the inquiry. Cabinet Members present welcomed the report and
would provide a response in due course. Panel Members noted that, subject to agreement of the
report, the Convener would present it to the Scrutiny Programme Committee on 19
November, asking the Committee to endorse its submission to Cabinet for
decision. The report has been scheduled for 12 December Cabinet meeting. A
formal Cabinet response would then follow, and the Panel would reconvene
between 9-12 months after Cabinet decision to check on the implementation of
agreed recommendations. RESOLVED that the draft final inquiry report be
agreed. |
