In accordance with the Code of Conduct adopted by the City and County of Swansea, no interests were declared.

To approve & sign the Minutes of the previous meeting(s) as a correct record.

The Head of Democratic Services referred to Minute 44 “Proposal to Introduce Mandatory Card Payment Facilities in Hackney Carriage (Taxis) and Private Hire Vehicles”. 

For clarification, it was proposed that whilst the minute would remain unchanged, the following would be included in the preamble of the consultation:

Please note that in relation to Section 3 of the attached report, all proprietors would be required to take debit card, credit card and contactless card payments. Those proprietors who currently take cash payments would continue to do so under these proposals providing that they also give passengers the option to pay by card.

Resolved that the Minutes of the General Licensing Committee held on 10 January 2025 be agreed as a correct record.

The Chair reported that Officers had withdrawn the report.
