Issue - meetings

Ian Altman/Greg Morgan (Chief Officers ERW) attended the meeting and outlined the key issues using a presentation. This included

·         ERW Summer Term and proposed Autumn Term delivery of services (via Business Plan) including strategy groups

·         The ERW Business Plan Evaluation 2020-21 and monitoring cycle

·         Highlighting National Leadership Focus Week.

The Panel accepted the review of the Education Scrutiny Work Programme 2020/2021.

Due to the current pressure on the Education Department, the Panel have agreed to postpone all items scheduled in January and February apart from receiving a verbal education Covid update and the Annual Budget as it relates to Education.  This will be reviewed in early March.

The Panel discussed and agreed their work programme including adding  Elective Home Eduation to the 19 November meeting and adding a meeting in May where they will look at Education Other Than At School (EOTAS) and the 21^st Schools Programme.  They would also like to receive regular updates on how Covid is affecting education and school, the next of these will take place at the December meeting.
