The Council confer Honorary Freedom of the City & County of Swansea to the Swansea Branch of the Merchant Navy Association in recognition and remembrance of the work undertaken to honour the men and boys of the Merchant Navy and Fishing Fleets who paid the ultimate price in the Second World War who have no grave but the sea.
A ceremonial council to confer Honorary Freedom will be convened later in the civic year.
