The Council confer Honorary Freedom of the City & County of Swansea to Swansea-born, Sir Karl Jenkins, recognising him as one of the world’s most-performed living composers. Sir Karl Jenkins is the first Welsh born composer to receive a knighthood for services to composing and crossing musical genres.
