In September 2013 full Council approval was given to embed the UNCRC within the Authority's Policy Framework, and to mainstream positive approaches to the rights of children and young people within the policy and functions of the City & County of Swansea.
The Children and Young People's Rights Scheme outlining how this would be achieved was formally adopted on 21 October 2014. As outlined in the Children and Young People's Rights Scheme, a report on the implementation and progress on how the Council has embedded Children’s Rights would be produced annually for approval.
