This report details the options available to the Council under the new regulations to charge a premium of up to 100% of the standard rate of Council Tax on certain types of long term empty dwellings and others that are occupied periodically where certain conditions apply. A determination must be made before 31 March 2016 in order for the premiums to come into effect from 1 April 2017.
