This report sets out CSSIW’s evaluation of Swansea County Council’s performance in delivering its social services functions during the period 2014/15. CSSIW has taken account of the available sources of evidence, including the Annual Report of the Director of Social Services recently presented to Council. CSSIW will have also considered a range of supporting evidence, including that from other inspections, reviews and investigations into the effectiveness of a range of social services in Swansea. This report is also informed by the views of other audit and inspection bodies, and then moderated to ensure a consistent and proportionate approach across Wales.
