Cllr Rob Stewart, Cllr Andrea Lewis, Nigel Williams and Geoff Bacon
attended to give the Councils response and answer questions. ·
Gareth Jones explained the purpose of the report
and shared the overall summary which is that the Council is using its assets to
deliver its strategic objectives but could improve its understanding of asset
conditions and risks. ·
Cabinet Members and officers explained the
actions the Council are taking to respond to the recommendations. This includes
a 5 year programme of asset condition surveys, ensuring
that asset implications are formally identified through the service planning
process and considering local benchmarking options. ·
The Panel noted the positive aspects of the
report and asked several questions. ·
The Panel have requested to see the Annual
Service Plan. |

Minutes: Cllr David Hopkins and Suzy Richards attended to present the
report. ·
The
report provides a summary of the Councils performance during the year 2023/24 in respect of delivering
the Council’s Well-being Objectives (priorities) set out in the Corporate Plan
2023/28. ·
The Cabinet Member discussed how the report
shows good progress with most of the Key Performance Indicators, but that there
are some challenging factors. ·
The Panel asked several questions relating to
Social Services and HR performance indicators. |
