Resolved that the Minutes of the Social Care & Tackling Poverty Service Transformation Committee held on 8 April 2024 and 16 May 2024 be approved and signed as correct records.

For information.

The Terms of Reference for the Service Transformation Committees was provided “For information”.

The Chair explained that discussions had taken place with the relevant Cabinet Members and Officers, with the following items being suggested to form the future work programme:

·                Day Opportunities and Use of Assets (Adult Services)

·                Assistive Technology and Promoting Independence (Integrated Services)

·                Volunteering Policy (Tackling Poverty)

·                Tackling Poverty Strategy (Tackling Poverty)

·                Poverty Truth Commission outcomes (Tackling Poverty)

·                Digital Inclusion (Tackling Poverty)

·                Enabling Communities / Adult Early Help Activities (Adult Services and Tackling Poverty)

·                Support for Kinship Carers (Child & Family Services)

In addition, Julie Davies, Head of Child & Family Services suggested two additional items:

·                Transition (from Child & Family Services to Adult Services)

·                Supporting Parents & Carers of Children with Additional Needs (Child & Family Services)

It was also suggested that the Committee receive an update on the work undertaken by the Safer Swansea Partnership in relation to Drug Abuse.

Resolved that the above items form the future Work Plan for 2024-2025.

The Committee discussed the dates and times of future meetings.

Resolved that meetings proceed at 4 pm on the dates outlined on the agenda.
